All about nutmeg

Gourmets around the world appreciate its delicate, incomparable scent and fine warm, pleasantly bitter taste.

From its original homeland, the Moluccas or Spice Islands, nutmeg came to Europe. Today, the most important nutmeg and mace producer in the world is Indonesia.

The nutmeg can be used in many ways, in sweet and savoury dishes and, of course, in many sausage specialities. Muscat requires a lot of tact: even tiny quantities are enough to enchant dishes!
